A programme to empower Small and Medium Enterprises is preparing to host its annual event next month, promises to host a bigger and better event this year.
Organisers of the Olafika SME Development and Mentorship Programme said the event to be held from 9 August, will assist, train and empower SME’s and Entrepreneurs.
Olafika, means “The Time Is Now” and is meant to help entrepreneurs start the journey of growing their enterprise.
It helps entrepreneurs grow their businesses, family-owned businesses and export focused businesses, including SMEs and businesses that add value to raw materials.
Entrepreneur Twapewa Kadhikwa said the 2018 programme will start with the launch of a new book on entrepreneurship titled: ‘Successful Entrepreneurship’.
Olafika has an annual intake of five SMEs per region, amounting to 70 SMEs from all 14 regions.
The Namibia Diamond Trading Company, in partnership with Olafika, believes that the programme provides real economic empowerment.
